Description

MARIA (Multi-scale Approaches for Robust medical Image Analysis) is a joint PHC/WTZ project between ISIT and PRIP labs. In this project, we would like to study novel multi-scale approaches to solve open problems in the analysis of contrast-enhanced medical image sequences. More precisely, the goal is to detect liver tumors from DCE-MRI (Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Images), and to extract important physiological, geometrical and topological features from these data. The algorithms developed within MARIA will be applied to help interventional radiologists in diagnosing and treating Hepato Cellular Carcinoma (HCC), which is one of the most deadly cancer.
